As a former charter pilot out of Anchorage,
Dean Carrell is comfortable in high places. So when his attention turned from flying hunters into the Alaskan wilds to mastering the fine art of making Pinot Noir, it’s not surprising that he landed on a sun-graced ridgetop high above Mendocino County’s premier wine region, Anderson Valley.
Roma’s Vineyard produces small-batch, carefully crafted pinot noir wines that possess deep flavors and excellent balance for a wine that is both supple and intense. They also make a satiny and sleek rosé as well as a mineral and luscious mistelle.

Phillips Hill 2018 Roma's Vineyard Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Great balance, pure fruit flavors and a brilliant mouthfeel make this elegant wine a real stand-out. Tangy acidity and fine-grained tannins support vivid red-cherry, cranberry and cinnamon flavors, making it a great choice for those who like their oak in moderation. Best through at least 2027.
